Hands-on with Mukiya 3-in-1 magnetic charger: affordable and very pretty

A charging station is a good way to clear your table of wire clutter and multiple chargers. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, a 3-in-1 dock can take care of charging your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Mukiya offered me to take a look at its 3-in-1 charger with a nice-looking design, affordable price tag and built-in night light.

The charger has a clever compact design. It folds into a phone-sized brick (hinges are very stiff), which is great when you need to take it with you. When unfolded, the front holds your phone via strong magnets, while the back has a wireless charger for AirPods (all models are supported, except those that do not support wireless charging) and a retractable flap with an Apple Watch charger. I really like this approach, as it makes sure you can charge all three devices without taking too much space on your desk or nightstand.

The MagSafe charger for your phone is housed in a chunk of what looks like transparent acrylic material. It gives the charger a much more premium look and feel, with aesthetics similar to the iMac G4 era and Liquid Glass in iOS 26. Combining this design with aluminum parts would make the charger even better, but sadly, the rest of the device is made of a no-frills plastic. I can’t say it is cheap, but it is far from premium either. My unit arrived in white color, but you can also get it in black, pink, purple, blue, and light blue.

Another great design piece of the Mukiya 3-in-1 charger is built-in LED lights. They are embedded into the MagSafe charger, and they create a very pretty contour light that emphasizes the charger’s transparent design. When nothing is on the main MagSafe charger, lights shine warm yellow light, and when you put your phone on the device, lights turn blue. If you do not want any distraction, you can tap a capacitive button on the back to turn LEDs off. Very nice.

The charger comes with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable and a charging brick, so that you do not need any additional accessories. The brick is a typical inexpensive charger with a single Type-A port and 18W max output. The dock can only accept up to 18W of power, so you are not getting faster speeds when connecting it to a more powerful power adapter.

Speaking of speeds, the phone charger is rated for up to 15W. It charged my iPhone 15 Pro from 10% to 90% in 1 hour and 40 minutes. The maximum power output for AirPods is 5W, while Apple Watch is capped at 2.5W. Unfortunately, no fast charging for Apple Watch, and my Series 10 took 1 hour and 36 minutes to fully charge. Being used to quick charging, it was a bit disappointing to see such slow speeds. The bundled power adapter is enough to charge three devices at once, just be ready for a bit slower speeds.

The Mukiya 3-in-1 charger

Can I recommend this charger? Absolutely, unless you need fast charging. The Mukiya 3-in-1 is a beautiful charger for your bedroom. Combine it with Standby Mode in iOS, and you get a really nice night clock that also happen to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. For only $27 during the Amazon Big Spring Sale for the black variant ($47.99 typical price), it is an easy recommendation.
