Chinese modder 小宁子 XNZ has built a console called the “Ningtendo PXBOX 5,” which combines the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single device.
Inspired by the 2013 Mac Pro, the Frankenconsole features a triangular aluminum heatsink cast from a 3D printed PLA model. This unique shape allows three PCBs to face each other while connecting to the singular heatsink. A 250W GaN power supply runs all three consoles simultaneously, though only one is playable at a time due to power constraints.
Meanwhile, an Arduino control board switches HDMI signals between different platforms, allowing players to swap from one console to another with the push of a button. LED strips change colors to show which console is active: blue for PS5, green for Xbox, and red for Switch 2. A custom Switch 2 dock with a spring-loaded ejection mechanism rounds out the build.
Though this mod is impressive, it isn’t the first system to squeeze three competing consoles together. Back in 2019, Origin’s “Big O” custom PC housed the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch, along with gaming PC components.
